Hello friends and welcome to the last post on LyvRoxStyle for 2018!!
We are in that period of complete brain mush. We don’t know what day it is, we aren’t sure when the last time we showered was, and possibly regretting putting up so much Christmas decor because now we gotta take it down.
And now! Friends are asking what you’re doing for New Years?!
I’ve taken my favorite bodysuit and styled it for three different New Years lewks.
Often times these plans are last minute, which leaves us the great convenience of finalizing our outfit until right before we walk out the door.
So if you have a favorite bodysuit or even blouse this will give you a template for styling it casual, sophisticated and then Ru-Paul Drag Race ready for New Years!!
The bodysuit I’m using is from Houseofcb.com.
It’s a beautiful satin material, which also comes in a nude or black. If the front tie is too much skin exposure for you there is a wrap version with no cutouts (This option is the last link below). I think that one is just as sexy. I went with a size medium because of my height.
I’ll list the links for all of those options below.
The price point is a little more than I usually would spend on a bodysuit, however the quality of the fabric is worth it.
Also, the hat I’m trying to use a New Years prop in this shoot was like a child’s size. It will not go down on my head.
For the casual lewk I styled a pair of high waisted skinny jeans, a metallic braided belt and puff ball heels for a little sass and texture to the vibe.
When channeling a more polished lewk I switched out my jeans for a high waisted pencil skirt.
I added an elastic black belt that is embellished with black jewels. I have ruined many a nights wearing tight leather belts with high waisted skirts or pants. I stick with elastic ones now that grow with you as the night goes on with food and drinks!
This is the exact outfit I wore for last year’s New Years Eve and I realized I just had been doing myself a disservice but not wearing fringe more often.
These pants were from Missguided and I’ve provided a link to a similar pair from Forever21 below.
The entire night I had these pants on I just kept singing the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s, “Shake it off”.
I have a fringe top I plan on wearing this year with black satin shorts because those pants were just too much fun.
Typically, I also execute a few lunges in whatever pants or shorts I wear for New Years to test out their stretch ability. I’ve learned the hard way on a few occasions that not all pants are prepared to dip it low and still be pants when you return from the dip.
Wherever you end up for New Years push your shoulders back and silently demand the attention of the room when you arrive…
because being you rocks. Happy New Year and once again thank you, THANK YOU for giving me your time this year by reading my post.
Cheers friends!
