The western influence creeping into the fashion streets has been subtle, but constant!
The piping trim on button downs like the one I’m wearing above, stitching on boots and the cut of heels on our typical knee boots now reflect the shape and design of our Nashville two stepping cowboy boots.
We are Tanya Tucker Chic in da streetz!
Items we might only wear or style for a Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood concert have become everyday street legal!
Ummmm, Lyv…who sees Taylor Swift anymore?!
MYSELF AND TARA MONROE THAT’S WHO!!!
Tara seeing T Swift was the equivalent to me seeing Britney Spears.
Basically when T Swift started “Shake It Off” Tara spilled her entire glass of wine on me and I ran to retrieve her more! Because that’s what friends do when the music is moving your soul so damn much you can’t hold a glass of wine without loosing control.
I GET IT!
Fendi and Calvin Klein were a few amongst the many designers that turned their boot style toward the cowgirl way.
As you can see on the tall Fendi Western Boot I’m wearing here the cut of the heel and shape of the toe leave no doubt we listened to Shania Twain before leaving the house today.
Zero REGRETS.
A designer boot is not required to complete this lewk!
Pairing your favorite cowboy boots with a more polished dress (versus our usual sundress) is where the edginess of this trend lives.
Below I’ve linked some kickass cowboy boot options all under $60.
My western inspired Forever21 button down shown here is no longer available, but I have linked similar killer options below!
If you’re not fully ready to commit to the Reba McEntire vibe just try adding an accessory.
You could swap out my button down blouse with a black t-shirt, black tank top or whatever you feel most comfortable with and add a choker or bolo neck tie.
Here are a few favs below!
Tap into your inner Dolly Parton with me this summer!
And as the OG Western Kween says…
“Find out who you are and do it on purpose!”
(And as I always say), because being you ROX!
Until next time-
